The trial is active for 15 days from activation. During this time, you can use the software without restrictions.

The trial version includes a package of Altair Units required to activate SimSolid.

There are no limitations in terms of model size or save count. You can use SimSolid with the included demo files or directly with your own project geometry. All CAE modeling features are fully accessible.

Annual Subscription

Altair SimSolid can be purchased through an annual subscription, available in both Named and Altair Units licensing models. This approach offers maximum flexibility — activate SimSolid when you need it and pause when you don’t.

A Named Subscription provides a commercial-use license tailored to your needs, with the licensing type and features you select.

With an Altair Units Subscription, you gain access to SimSolid along with other Altair simulation tools — including HyperMesh, OptiStruct, and Radioss — maximizing the return on your software investment.

First, contact our sales team. We’ll prepare a customized quote based on your requirements: number of users, license type, modules, optional services (e.g., training), and payment terms. Once the proposal is accepted, you’ll receive setup instructions within a few days.

With an annual subscription, you can activate the SimSolid configuration that best fits your needs — either as a Named license with customizable add-on modules or as an Altair Units license, which also enables access to other simulation technologies.

Annual subscriptions are valid for one year and are invoiced at the start of the selected term.

Named licenses are Hosted. Altair Units licenses are available in two configurations:
  • Floating On-Prem – License is managed by an on-site server; SimSolid can be accessed by any user within the company network.
  • Hosted – The license is assigned to a named user and managed via Altair’s cloud servers, offering greater flexibility for distributed teams.

You may cancel the subscription at any time, but the software will remain active until the contract’s expiration date. No refunds are issued for unused time, and billing cannot be suspended mid-term.
